Giraglia Rolex Cup: 65th edition of the prestige regatta in Saint Tropez

The Giraglia Rolex Cup is ready to go ! From friday 10th to saturday 18th of June, the prestigious franco-italian regatta celebrates its 65th anniversary. 3,000 sailors are ready to start the race off the Mediterranean. Cap on the classic regatta with Top Charter.


An emblematic and historic regatta

Created in 1953 in a post-World War II context, the Giraglia Cup was invented to recreate links between Italy and France. Now, this Mediterranean race is a must for many sailors from all over the world. Organized by the Nautical Society of Saint-Tropez, the Yacht Club Italiano and the French Yacht Club, the Giraglia Rolex Cup brings together many sailors from all over the world. More than 200 boats and more than 10 different nationalities will take the sea from St Tropez for the international sailing event of the French Riviera.

The program for the 69th edition

The Rolex Giraglia, the super classic which, after the 2021 edition in Italian waters, returns to its original format, starts on the night of Friday, June 10 with theSanremo – Saint-Tropez; then on June 12, 13th and 14th coastal races off Saint-Tropez and then the start of the offshore on Wednesday, June 15 round the classic 243 mile triangle Saint Tropez – Giraglia – Genova.

The week of the Rolex Giraglia will end with the prizegiving on Saturday, June 18 at the Club headquarters.

Here is the programme in brief:

Friday, June 10: Start of the Saint Tropez – Sanremo;

Sunday 12, Monday 13 and Tuesday 14: Coastal races in Saint-Tropez

Wednesday 15: Start of the Rolex Giraglia offshore;

Saturday 18: Prizegiving at the Yacht Club Italiano;

The races are for IRC-ORC rated yachts of more than 9.14 m overall
